My husband's complaint

Happy Monday everyone!

I went shopping last week and my husband complained. Sounds familiar, right? We shop and spend. They get the bills. Groan!

Except he complained that I found a bargain... well, lots of bargains. I paid $12 for blouses that were originally $70. I bought cute -- super, super, super cute -- shoes on clearance, of course. And he complained! That I find bargains!

What????

So I wonder what to do... shop full price? Or keep shopping for bargains? Hmmm....

What do you think?

(Rob, I love you! I'll keep maximizing your paycheck by shopping wisely -- unless you send me out with strict orders otherwise!!! tee hee)

I'd keep with the bargains, cause I'll bet deep down he was happy. ;)

Also was he WITH you shopping? Might be part of the complaint. haha :)

Thanks!!!! I think he was happy too... deep down. Beneath the jealousy that he can't find bargains too. HA:)

He was with me for the blouses -- birthday shopping trip. SWEET!!!! I just get lots of presents when I shop with him. I find the bargains :)

I got the shoes on my own. He can't find shoes for anywhere near the price I do... but I keep trying to explain that I need three pairs, at least, to his every one. Not sure he bought that!

huh?! I would just present him with the choice: 'Do you want me to spend 14 dollars, or 100?'!
I think the answer is easy!

I say, "great job finding bargains!" Even if he's not a fan of shopping you can feel good about stretching your dollars! :)

I must confess, I am totally teasing him with this post. He admires my bargain-sniffing gene, and he might even be a bit jealous of my special "gifting." Really, I'm just patient. I'll wait till what I want goes on sale :)

It's been a long-standing joke between us -- what's the Christmas budget? hmmmm..... And then I find a $100 item for $35. And get to shop extra!!!!

I LOVE my husband!!! And I love stretching the household budget, even the shoe budget! :) I consider that to be "my job." :)

Love the shoes!

I "get" to pay the bills around here. And no...I would never pass up a good bargain!

I'm all about shopping for bargains! What was his complaint specifically? I've become even more frugal since I've stopped working, and I think the hubby appreciates my bargain hunting. :)

Great question, Ashleigh!!! His specific complaint was that I always find the great bargains and he never does. It was more of a whine than a complaint. :)

Well the shoes are so cute he doesn't REALLY care, right? He's just going through " the motions", right? Good thing he has such a mindful, frugal bride. ;)

My husband does this to me too, and I'm quite good with the bargains as well. Then, he's on the Internet buying remote helicopters and baseball hats with ponytails, because they are just fun!;)

I have an entire Just Shoes page on our blog, that helps me get my shoe fix without spending!;)

This was awesome! My complaint was more because I can never find a bargain and she trips over them. A great shopper and an amazing wife!
