Congratulations, Graduates!!!

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord,
"Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
plans to give you hope and a future."
Jeremiah 29:11

The graduating class of 2011 includes many remarkable young people I've had the privilege to know. My prayer for these wonderful students is that they'll keep changing the world for Jesus!

But, I must admit...

...thinking of tonight's graduation ceremony leaves me a little weepy.

Because next year....

...it will be him.

And I'm not quite ready to let him go.

Praying for today's graduates, their mamas and their daddies, their plans, their dreams and their futures.

Trust me ... you'll NEVER be ready to let go, though you must. A matter of the will, not the heart.

My daughter just graduated from high school this year and my son will be graduating next year. So bittersweet! I'm glad we're in "community" together. God bless you and your family!

I love the look of your blog! Lovely!

And I can't imagine my daughter graduating. She is starting Kindergarten this fall. Waaaaaa. That is difficult enough.

We are old enough to have a child graduating! God's timing was different from ours. :o)

I am your newest follower and I'm stealing your button. :o)

In Him,
Beth

Beth,
Our daughter just graduated kindergarten! I've got a wacky wonderful family!!!! I tell you, looking at colleges with one while discovering kindergarten with another has made for a hilarious year. I can't decide if I'm too old or too young. =)

Thanks for the follow. Looking forward to getting to know you better!!!

Love,
Karen

Hi. Saw your comment at Beth in NC's blog and had to visit. We are similar in that I have a daughter who is married and just graduated from college. (I have a granddaughter!) My middle son is a junior in college and my youngest will be in fourth grade this year. When the youngest started kindergarten, the oldest graduated from high school. Ten and a half years between the second and third children and we homeschooled them all. Nice to "meet" you.

All I can say is get ready for an emotional time when you see your son walk up to receive his diploma next year. Sadness for the little boy that his shall never be again, mixed with excitement for what lies ahead for him, where ever the Lord leads.

We have seen all four of our children graduate from high school already, two now from college and one last weekend from grad school. There is such a sense of pride that swells up inside your heart to see each one finally accomplishing their academic dreams. And oh how they love to hear it when you say you are proud of them. Their broad smile and their eyes can be so honest. Its a sweet and tender time for me as a mom.
