Yes, it's true. I realize it's not as personal as a phone call. I can't hear the emotion or inflection so messages can be misunderstood. But I still love text messages...
With close friends and family.
Like today.
I texted my hubby (whose job doesn't really fit with phone conversations) that we need to eat more fruits and veggies.
His reply: Eat oranges, not apples. Have citrus here, will bring more and eat with sandwiches.
Me: Why do oranges help more than apples? (I'm obviously lost)
Him: The apples are for dinner. But oranges do help fight scurvy. A common condition among pirates such as yourself :-)
(Insert laughter, mine)
Me: Aye matie!
Him: Ha. Good answer.
(Insert laughter, his)
A great conversation had -- over time -- while I cleaned house and supervised schoolwork. He fit his part in between patients.
What's not to love about a slow-evolving conversation?
TTYL! LOL

I absolutely agree! I LOVE texting! There honestly aren't many parts of my day when it is easy to fit in an entire phone conversation, but I can fit texting in all over the place! It helps me stay connected with people more frequently than I would be able to otherwise.
I love texting too Karen!
Blessings
I completely agree. We used to have texting in our plan and it kept my husband and I so close through the day. We could text cute messages and funny conversations while he was at work. We don't have it anymore due to cost-cutting, but I miss it some days. As long as it does not replace personal conversations, but rather helps enhance them, texting is great!
Our son leaves for college next year. I am so thankful for texting. He can keep in touch. I can send a prayer before he sits down for a test or a piano performance. Texting will shrink that nine hour distance! YAY!
Oh Yes! I'm a texting mama for sure. With little girls in the house that are either screaming/squealing with joy or throwing hairy temper tantrums the house is never quiet for a phone conversation. So texting allows me to socialize with the people I love without interruption and still get everything done on my busy To-Do list. :-)
Great post!

I too, LOVE texting...possibly to a fault. I am also notoriously a random thought texter to my friends and my husband...as it appears you may be too. :) So much fun!! Its just when I am in public and laughing out loud and feel I need to tell someone how funny the text was (complete strangers) that I realize its a problem.
I absolutely agree with you! I always enjoy texting. Many times words speak more when written.
Can't agree more. I absolutely love texting. Many times words speak more when written.
Great read!
hahaha great post!
I love when I get a chance to laugh with my husband. I just found the wonders of texting last year and it was great because I could talk to my sister who, like your husband, is always busy and in meetings. Karen it's always nice to visit you!! xo
I've never texted...ooh do I dare say that? But I have gotten in on a few funny Facebook conversations!
Your conversation with your husband was great! Sometimes the written word can be funnier than speaking...lol
