There's a blog post hidden in my heart. I've tried writing it five times these past two days, but the words won't come. I used to get frustrated when the words failed to form, but I am learning that maybe, probably, God's just not quite done teaching me.
So today, the words sit. Silent. Waiting. I will listen. Quietly. Expectantly. Knowing that one day, maybe soon, maybe not, the words will come. When God's done teaching me.

Oh man, I can't wait to hear what God is doing in your heart on this one! I am so grateful for His perfect timing!
Thanks, Becky!
Sometimes listening and learning are the hardest part!
Love ya!
I too can't wait to read what you are moved to write. Sometimes as a writer we need to just listen and wait. Than can be hard for those of us who want to and need to express ourselves. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I know God will lead you in the right direction. Love you!!
Or maybe the person who is meant to read it isn't ready and it's not you that's getting the teaching/lesson ;)
WOW! Sarah, what a great perspective. :)
A friend and I talked last night about our respective first time visits to our church. My first day, the pastor shared a message of hope for the hopeless, precisely what I needed to hear when I was ready to hear it.
Praying now that whatever I write will be received by the person God wants the post to touch.
Thanks!!!!
Great perspective on a frustrating situation, hopefully the words will come soon!
Karen, isn't it better to let your thoughts form completely rather than post hastily?! I enjoyed the perspective of the other commenters, as well.
I am in a similar place. I have been sitting on a subject for a number of months; jotting my thoughts, and praying for the insight and perspective that gives the subject the respect it deserves.
I look forward to your own update.
Absolutely, Bonnie! I thought my thoughts were complete. I look forward to seeing what more God wants me to learn :)
Thanks for your comment. I look forward to seeing where your thought journey leads as well.
Blessings!
its def tough at times. Hopefully you will be done with your lesson soon. Perhaps the student will become the teacher.
Writer's block.. If I may suggest, WriteToDone.com gives a free ebook on writing. Part of the book contains tips on how to get over writer's block. I suggested the same thing to Rosann of Christian Super Mom before and I hope she found it useful.
In the meantime, we shall all wait. :)
This is a great post because I am sure so many of us bloggers can relate. There have been many times when something is rattling around in my brain and I just cannot express it properly. Sometimes silent is best until God has finished teaching us! Can't wait to read it when the words come!
I have the most encouraging friends! Thanks everyone!
Well, I'm sitting on my hands in anticipation. I hope all is well and I'll be checking in to see when He fills you with the words.
Sharon
When I get writer's block, I look for inspiration in all kinds of places. I may find it in the newspaper, as I did the other day, or a magazine article....online, overhear something somewhere....you get the idea. Thankfully, my blog isn't one where I have to write a particular amt. of articles--it's mainly about food/recipes and my thoughts are kinda a sideline, if you will.
I think it's great to post that you're not ready yet. Quality is always better than quantity, and sometimes, things get better when you walk away, and then re-visit them.
Patiently waiting:)...
Can't wait for the right words to come. But we all must be patient. If this has been sitting in your heart for quite some time, then they deserve a proper unveiling..nothing rushed, nothing unripe...only well-chosen and heartfelt words. We will wait. :-))
Oh my goodness!!!!
You are the most amazingly wonderful people. EVER!
Thanks for the encouragement and the patient waiting!!!
You are fabulous.
I know EXACTLY what you mean!
