We did get 300 gal of feul. We use 200 a day. Keep praying about that one.
I think the horrible living conditions are the main cause of the illnesses. Many are sleeping in the open without even a tent to cover them. They are drinking out of the sewer. One of our translators (he really can't speak English, but gets mad when you don't understand him), has a horrible cough and has been taking all the food he gets here for volunteering, home to his kids.
Last night some of the employees came back in the late evening and stole alot of the water and most of the food that was here for the volunteers. Pray for peace, volunteers and new supplies. We need them and they need us.
Some of the illness is post-op wound infections because the patients are discharged and can only go home to a tent or the ground and they can't keep the area clean. Two patients with post-partum cardiomyopathy - the heart muscle weakens after pregnancy causing all the symptoms of heart failure - are currently here. One is mild and really here due to stomach problems. The other came in last night and is in critical condition. We don't have enough Dopamine to keep her BP up and don't have a ventilator. She's 32 with a 3 month old and should not have lived throught the night - pray for a miracle for her.
Sent out a girl (I assume he means to a better facility, either USS Comfort or to a hospital in the US) this morning that got the blood. She was much better. Your prayers make a difference.
I'm very tired from being up, but really just hurt more than needing to sleep, at least for now.
Thank you all for your continued prayers. Keep praying for these medical professionals, and especially for the people they are trying to help. May Jesus be glorified through their love and compassion.

Wow. Words cannot even express all of the feelings and emotions just reading this note cause. Can't even fathom how it feels for Dr. Rob and the countless other volunteers who are living it 24/7! THANK YOU for giving a chunk of your time, life and heart to help these people! Conditions are unthinkable when there is no disaster- hellish with a disaster. Praying often for your (the workers) emotional, spiritual and physical strength and safety. I am sure the enemy is not happy with what you are doing there. Also praying for the next group of volunteers who take your place to be just as compassionate and filled with the Spirit as you all are. Many blessings to you and your families at home right now! :)

Father God,
We lift up these servants of Yours on this team right now that are being Your hands and feet to this devastated area. We pray for Your annointing and supernatural strength to fill each one of them right now. We pray that You will encourage them, meet their each and every need, fill them with Your compassion, wisdom, discernment, and supernatural peace. May the hurting people of Haiti feel Your love and compassion being poured out upon them in a tangible way and may they be drawn to You through this terrible time. We ask that You provide the nourishment and peaceful sleep that the volunteers need in order to be alert and handle the challenges that each day brings. Let them feel Your presence with them and know that You are in control of all things. May You be glorified through everything that takes place and bring them all home safely to their families!
God bless each and every one of you that are being used by God to make a difference in this world. Thank you for allowing God to use you!!! Your time and sacrifice is not in vain and God WILL use it! Be safe and be encouraged!
Dearest God,
You know all - see all - understand all. We don't. We know that life and death are in your hands. I pray for continued strength for Rob and all the workers in Haiti who are serving so faithfully in your Name. Uphold them & give them supernatural peace & comfort - strength to continue to do the impossible with next to nothing to work with. I pray that - like the oil in the time of Elijah & Elisha - the supplies and medicines will be stretched & multiplied until they can be replaced. I pray that the work these doctors & nurses do will be effective & that they will be encouraged by the results. I pray that you would guard these precious people from infection & the continued spread of disease. I ask that you would protect the supplies and the water from thieves & instead find a source for them to be supplied with their own needs. Open the windows of Heaven & pour down a blessing through these dedicated volunteers who are there to represent you & to advance the cause of Christ in Haiti. May the work of their hands be blessed & blessed & blessed in Jesus' Name. Amen
Rob,
Just stopped what we were doing and had the kids and Robin pray for you. Everyone at the office has been following your trip and praying for you the whole time you have been gone.
Will pray for strength, discernment, and clinical judgment as you continue to work in these difficult conditions. Can't wait to see you when you get back and hear about your experience and the way God has refined you through this trip.
in Him,
chuck (and robin and the kids)
In situations such as this, I remind myself that God has a plan which is very often beyond our comprehension. During these times, we live by faith and know that He is a GREAT and POWERFUL GOD. We want you to know that we pray for Rob and the team daily and we know that God will provide. He will bless your sacrifice and efforts on His behalf and our prayer is that God’s light will shine on each and every person you touch. Thank you for showing us what it means to be the hands and feet of Jesus.

Wow! Thanks to everyone that is praying for us and the Haitian people. Your prayers and the hand of God are felt strongly. Rob
Amen and Amen to the prayers above. God, the creator of heaven and earth, be with all of the medical teams that are currently working, or planning a missions trip to Haiti. Fill them to overflowing with your grace, peace, mercy and love. Give them peace that passes all understanding, and wisdom beyond measure. Protect them, guide them, hold them in the palm of your mighty hand. Strengthen the families at home, until they again look upon the faces of the ones that they are missing.
Psalm 91:1-2 "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, "Surely He is my refuge and fortress, my God, in whom I shall trust."
Psalm 63:3-4,7 "Because your love is better than life itself,my lips will glorify you. I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name, I will lift up my hands. Because you are my help, I sing in the shadow of your wings."
