I've had an amazingly blessed week. Monday, I won a $10 gift card to Walgreen's. Really! Our family participated in a 5K run for Haiti and I won a prize. Cool!!! Yesterday, I won a blog makeover and I'm so excited! Really!
Can you help me out on the makeover? Liz Barber at Simply Sweet Designs is doing the makeover. She asked me to give her the url to some blogs that I really like. Well -- I like lots of blogs and I need to narrow it down. That's where I need your help.

Hey Karen! Congrats on getting a blog makeover! That's very exciting. :) Two blogs I like that I think have good layouts are ohmishka.com and kylaroma.com - I know Michelle (ohmishka) designs her own layouts - not sure about Kyla. But in any case, hopefully those blogs will give you some ideas!
I've heard that one thing to think about when designing your blog is to put the important stuff at the top - namely, what do you want your readers to do first (subscribe!) and what is your site about (about me or tags are good things to put here). Then mid-important stuff under that - archives, etc. And lastly other random stuff (twitter, fickr feeds, etc).
